Scope Drift

When "one small addition" is not in the locked scope. Scope Drift surfaces the moment expansion appears so it becomes a change order, not free work.

What is Scope Drift?

Scope Drift is Zlaip detection that a request or feedback likely falls outside locked deliverables. It posts an inline warning with Ignore or Create Change Order actions.

Drift never silently expands the agreement. Expansion requires bilateral change order acceptance.

Scope Drift vs scope creep

Scope creep is the business problem (unpaid expansion). Scope Drift is the detection primitive that makes creep visible at the moment of feedback in Accountability Chat.

FAQ

Common questions

Does Scope Drift block the client from messaging?
No. Listening is passive. Zlaip never blocks messages. It intervenes with advisory cards that require human confirmation.
What if the client ignores a drift warning?
The creative should not ship out-of-scope work without a change order. The warning creates a durable record either way.
